Advisory Board

 Emmaus Road Institute operates with an advisory board of ministers from various backgrounds, with a wide variety of ministry experience. Our Advisory Board includes Pastors, Missionaries, and teachers. We are pleased to introduce our board to you.

Steve Highlander
Founder and Administrator

Dr. Steve Highlander holds a doctorate in Pastoral Theology. Steve was saved in 1980 and Baptized with the Holy Spirit in 1983. He started in the ministry in 1984. He has served as Pastor of four churches in the United States. Over the last 40 years, Steve has garnered a wide variety of ministry experience including prison ministry, radio, and the Internet. Steve is a published author. He and His wife Brooke, who is an Applied Psychologist with a doctorate in Christian Counseling, currently serve on the Mission Field in Papua New Guinea. Other mission work includes three countries in West Africa, The Philippines, and Mexico. Steve is a Licenced Minister and Endorsed Missionary with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel in the USA and is ordained through the Foursquare Gospel Church of  Papua New Guinea. he also holds an Ordination with Apostolic team Ministries, International (USA).

Brooke Highlander
Board Member / Instructor / Counseling Supervisor

Dr. Brooke Highlander serves with her husband, Steve, as a Foursquare missionary in Papua New Guinea. Brooke is a Psychologist with a master's degree in Applied Psychology and a doctorate in Christian Counseling. She is also certified for Trauma Counseling in War Zones. Brooke is licensed by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel in the USA and is ordained by the Foursquare Gospel Church of Papua New Guinea. Brooke has taught psychology from a Christian perspective in Bible Colleges in the USA and Papua New Guinea She has also developed and presented seminars and workshops on Peer Counseling and Psychological First aid in secular settings for Fortune 500 companies.

Jerry Stott
Board Member / Missions

Dr. Jerry Stott holds a doctorate in Pastoral Theology. He and his wife Julie are Area Missions serving with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel for the South Pacific region. They currently are based in Brisbane, Australia. Jerry has written two books, Positioned For Miracles and a companion study guide for group study and Positioned for the Gifts. He is in demand around the world as a speaker for churches and conferences. His ministry regularly brings the power of the Holy Spirit in the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, healings, and miracles.

Richard Bartz
Board member / Technology Advisor

Richard Bartz and his wife, June are veteran missionaries serving for twenty-five years in Southeast Asia. They founded South East Asia Mission Teams (SeaMisT) where they trained and sent missionaries to unreached people groups in eleven South East Asian countries. The couple has been active in church planting and leadership development. Richard is also a computer programmer and spent many years in IT. He has owned and operated a Website Development company in the USA since 2002. Richard brings experience in both international IT issues, Internet design, and function, as well as world missions. Richard is ordained with Acts Church International in Springfield, MO. and World Indigenous Missions in New Braunfels, TX.
